The Silver Canopy: A Daggerheart Adventure in the Witherwild

Alora has been watching the party since before they arrived.

The catfolk of the silver canopy know what passes through their forest, who takes their river, and which strangers carry names that other strangers have already been asking about. You don't walk into Alora. You're let in — after a bard reads your eyes, a thirteen-year-old goes through your packs, and someone with piano wire between her knuckles asks who you are exactly once.

The Silver Canopy is a Daggerheart-compatible adventure for level 3 characters, set in the unruly, spirit-riddled expanse of the Witherwild. It's a social hub, an investigation, a fight with a corrupted orchard, and a temple that feels like a revelation and lands like a question.

Perfect for groups who love talking their way in, reading a room full of people who are reading them back, and a moral fight where the monster used to be a god, this adventure includes:

  • A living village — the Silkwing Tavern, the Moonfire Shrine, the Council Grove, and a cast of memorable catfolk, each with their own read on the party, their own secrets, and their own quiet tests you'll fail without noticing
  • A coded mystery — three notes, three hands, one spiral-and-line mark, and something that's been pulling the food reserves down through the floor for weeks
  • The spy in the silk — a Syndicate scout who didn't leave with her caravan, posting to a job board for a courier the party is already holding. She isn't an ideologue. She has a sick brother and a promise from the wrong person. Threats won't crack her. Compassion will
  • The Orchard of Fang and Fruit — once tended by Aurelith, a minor god of restraint and the ungathered fruit, now consumed by the Witherwild and turned into the Fruitmother: trees that animate after dark, apples that open to show teeth, and whisper-serpent caretakers who beg you in slow poetry to end what they can't
  • The Twilight Road — seven arches, golden hour, twelve minutes. A timed run to the Temple of the Owl, with the Fanewraith already a day ahead of you
  • Nikta's Echo — a vision, a name, a fragment of a Reaping Eye in amber, and a message scratched into the altar that reframes everything the party thought they were chasing
  • Full stat blocks (Withered Dire Wolf, Deeproot Defender, Fruitmother, Green Ooze), countdowns, and example skill checks throughout, plus collaborative prompts that ask each player what they feel about the name Sevrith before the session ends

This isn't a dungeon with a village attached. It's a community that survived by seeing everything first, a grief wearing an orchard, and the slow realization that the person you're tracking returned something instead of stealing it.

"I came to return this. Not to steal from you. I need the other one to finish what Haven started. You will not stop me. But I am not your enemy."

The town on the charts was watching you the whole time.
